 Client Gratitude

Improving Confidence & Self-Esteem

Many of the clients of Vitalis Coaching come to increase their confidence. Sometimes it's in one specific area of their life (with the children, a partner, at work or while giving a presentation), and sometimes it's about wishing to have greater overall sense self-love and self-worth. Challenges around assertiveness, self-expression and self-esteem can be connected with feelings of guilt, having to please others or a fear of appearing selfish or arrogant. If this is the case for you, we'll work together on finding ways for you to overcome these worries and feel more confident.

“Karin was a fantastic support, helping me to regain confidence to change things, to work out what I really want from my life.”

“I was put on a ‘response to redundancy’-course at The Citizens Trust. A part of the course was the mentoring and coaching with Karin, who built huge confidence in me. I felt relaxed and well supported by Karin. In all I thoroughly enjoy working with Karin, she is giving me every opportunity to build my career.”

“Instead of telling me what I should do, Karin helps me to find my own answers.”

“I already had some experience with coaches. But Karin is different. Instead of telling me what I should do, she helps me to find my own answers. Surprisingly this way of helping gives me much more confidence, because now I realise that I already have all the answers within me. I just need to learn and listen to myself more. Karin is helping me at this moment to do so.

It’s funny that I feel so free to tell her everything, without shame. I think this is because she never judges me. And it’s like she doesn’t judge herself either. She gives me the feeling that she doesn’t think she’s perfect and that I don’t need to be perfect to become more in balance with myself.

Now that I write this I think the biggest thing she gives me is acceptance in every way.”

“Karin helped me to recognise where my limitations and beliefs came from and how I would be able to overcome them. I now feel in control again.”

“In the summer of 2008 I contacted Karin. I felt out of control of my own life. I wasn’t sure if the decisions taken were the right decisions. My energy level was low, my concentration and discipline were gone and I just didn’t function the way I was used to. It probably was the result of a chaotic period in my life in which all the certainties I had were left behind. I broke up with the boyfriend I had spent 12 years with, I had to move houses and physically I encountered some problems. Beside all that I started thinking about a next step in my career, without the belief that I was really capable of going to the next level.

Karin's coaching sessions helped me with getting things clear again. She has great listening skills and is very good at identifying barriers. She helped to recognise where my limitations and beliefs came from and how I would be able to overcome them. I now feel in control again. I am not yet where I want to be, as life is not as stable as it used to be, but at least I am feeling a lot more positive, energetic and in control. I see the chances and advantages of my own personality again and am looking forward to the future in a positive way.”

“I have never liked confrontation, and wanted coaching to help me deal with this in a positive way.”

“I came to see Karin to get help regarding my confidence. I wanted to gain courage to take on new tasks and projects and not to doubt myself when questioned. I wanted to learn to stand up to people in a positive way and not to get defensive. I have never liked confrontation, and wanted coaching to help me deal with this in a positive way.

We worked with visualisations and Karin invited me to 'walk my time-line', which made me more relaxed regarding finishing projects instead of being anxious about failure. I started sewing again, and cheered my work environment up and have now made a step further to getting a faster paced job within the company I am working - still a little nervous BUT if I keep referring to my learned skills - I know I will stay on track. I realised there is a part in me that is a 'girl on a mission'; focused, confident, full of trust, proud and free. That part in me has a sparkle and lots of energy and it felt exciting to recognise that part I long lost in me again.

I feel I am slowly becoming more proud of who I am, and am more confident in approaching people. I am less guarded in public and instead of only caring and worrying about others, I now care a bit more about me.”

“Karin was a fantastic support, helping me to regain confidence to change things, to work out what I really want from my life.”

“I saw Karin to help me refocus and find some direction in all areas of my life. I was feeling frazzled by the demands of life and couldn't work out what I wanted as my life felt very chaotic. I wanted to focus on career, relationships, moving house and generally where I want to be in life.

Karin was a fantastic support, helping me to regain confidence to change things, to work out what I really want from my life and my relationships with other people. She's started me on the road to changing things in my life. My underlying positivity has returned even though I still have a long way to go. Hence the reason why I'm still going to be seeing her regularly for personal life coaching sessions! I would highly recommend Karin - she is a fantastic Life Coach and more.”

“As a 19 year old student in London there are so many things to learn and develop.”

“I was doing an internship in London. As a young person in a big city, there are so many things to learn and develop. After a few weeks I decided to search for a coach, as I used to have one in The Netherlands as well. I found Karin Peeters through the Dutch network. It was really nice to have our conversations in Dutch and to have someone who could listen to my experiences and give responses how to best deal with it.

Coaches are not only necessary when you are older, when you are young you can develop a lot.”
